David T. Hughes, M.D. is a Clinical Lecturer in the Division of Endocrine Surgery, Section of General Surgery. Dr. Hughes graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in biology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1999. He went on to receive his medical degree from the Creighton University School of Medicine with Alpha Omega Alpha honors in 2003. He then completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Hughes is the current Norman W. Thompson Fellow in Endocrine Surgery. Dr. Hughes clinical interests include surgical diseases of the endocrine system including the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pancreas. His academic interests include clinical research in the treatment of thyroid and adrenal cancer as well as a focus on surgical education. He is an active member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. |
